Aotea Gifts have been in the business of sharing New Zealand since 1979, with operations in Queenstown since 1988.

Aotea Gifts have been a loyal supporter of the Queenstown Trails since 2015 as a major corporate sponsor, but this year they have really extended their gift of support by matching dollar for dollar the donations received during the annual April Trail Lovers campaign.

“It’s a no-brainer” says Aotea Gifts “the trails are a magnificent asset to the region and help enhance the experience of visiting and living here, so it is important to support them”.

Trails

Forming the missing link in the Queenstown Trails Network, we have constructed 20 kilometers of new trails in the last 18 months.

Infrastructure

We are working on projects for shelters, interpretation panels, charging stations, rest areas, lay-down zones and hydration stations to provide a better trail experience.

Timely repairs and a schedule of on going maintenance to continue to improve and enhance the safety and enjoyment of the trails.

Donations made to the 'Trail Lovers' appeal will go directly toward projects that enhance and expand the Queenstown Trails network. This includes funding the development of exciting new trails in our region as outlined in our strategic plan, maintenance of existing trails, and opportunities for conservation projects adjacent to the trails. Your contributions help ensure that these trails remain a world-class destination for all outdoor enthusiasts.

Will Queenstown Trails be involved in the Jacks Point Trail?

The board of Queenstown Trails is actively considering it's ability to step in and address the urgent need for an active transport route from communities in the southern corridor. We have secured easement agreements with the generosity of landowners to the north of Parkridge, and are working on costings and fundraising to deliver a trail along the base of Peninsula Hill and connecting into the existing Trail network at the Kawarau Falls Bridge.
